We produce unbiased and highly relevant research to help CIOs and IT leaders make strategic, timely, and well-informed decisions. We partner closely with IT teams to provide everything they need, from actionable tools to analyst guidance, ensuring they deliver measurable results for their organizations.


Due to continued growth within our Research Industry Practice, we are expanding our Team of talented Professionals. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in:

  •  Utilizing advisory & research experience working as a practitioner or consultant or analyst within mid to large organizations pertaining to retail/wholesale and utilities/energy industries 
  • Excellent advisory skills that can support and engage a dedicated set of members on industry level topics, via remote phone support, ad hoc phone support, client-site workshops, and facilitating week-long leadership training programs.
  • Providing valuable insight to the research agenda and growth of the advisory and consulting services provided to our members.
  • Ability to develop solid research skills seen as an asset.

Areas of focus for this role includes: 

  • Research.  As a subject matter expert, experience in writing and  publishing research seen as an asset.
  • Utilization.  Leverage   our research to assist members through the process of executing projects or process improvements either remotely (working through a series of structured   calls) or onsite (working through structured 5-day workshops or custom consulting engagements).
  • Service Quality.  Provide measurable value to our clients through the various services provided: research, calls, workshops, and consulting.
  • Account Renewal Rate. Work jointly with your team and the account managers to reengage customers with low service levels through targeted campaigns and outreach.  
  • Commercial Results. Identify opportunities to provide value to clients through workshops and consulting engagements and work with our commercial teams to define the scope and project outcomes.  

Education and Experience: 

  • Undergraduate degree required (business or technology preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and facilitation experience: client-facing workshops, training sessions, and consulting engagements.
  • Strong relationship building and management skills. Experience gaining and maintaining trusted advisor status with senior management and      C-level executives.               
  • 5 - 10 years of advisory & research experience working as a practitioner or consultant or analyst within mid to large organizations pertaining to retail/wholesale and utilities/energy industries 
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and collaborating
  • Certifications in an IT or project management related topic e.g. PMP, COBIT 5, ITIL an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in any of IT Strategy, Budget Management, Governance, Risk & Compliance, Service Management, People and Leadership and Vendor Management a definite asset.
  • Specific industry experience within retail/wholesale and utilities/energy industries sectors

Required Skills 

  •  Excellent understanding of the key management processes within an IT department or service provider within retail/wholesale and utilities/energy industries 
  •  Strong client advisory and service delivery skills; the ability to lead clients through complex projects, build relationships and establish reputation as a trusted advisor, and lead clients through structured working sessions.
  • Superior oral, analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to present to members in various forums and conferences.
  • Must  be flexible and have ability to travel (25-50%) to deliver workshops onsite at client locations both within and outside of North America.  Must be eligible to obtain TN Visa for work with US clients. Must be available for after-hours call booking twice per month for two hours each time. 

Desirable Skills

  • Acuity in research development or like experience.
  • Coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Certifications in an IT or project management related topic e.g. PMP, COBIT 5, ITIL.
