Business Development Executive (Sales)

At Info-Tech Research Group we are looking for top talent to join the team as we connect IT leaders with data-driven IT solutions from our lively downtown offices in Toronto. 

As an Associate Commercial Director (ACD) you will focus on building relationships, finding new customers and establishing Info-Tech as a trusted business partner with these accounts. This is the entry level to our Acquire Sales function and includes a comprehensive training program.

You’ll be a good fit if you… 

  • Have 1-3 years Customer Service/Sales experience preferred.  
  • Possess Business and/or IT acumen 
  • Demonstrate the ability to balance multiple competing tasks 
  • Have excellent communication skills; able to articulate to clients effectively 
  • Interpersonal/relationship building skills 
  • Quick thinking; able to amend approach as needed 
  • Organizational skills; able to manage/track calls and appointments 
  • Cold calling; able to manage high dial/call volumes 
  • Negotiation skills; able to handle objection 
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude 
  • University/College graduate (required) 

In the Associate Commercial Director Role, you will…

  • Leverage a predefined database (Salesforce) of contacts and through newly identified leads. Develop a strategic approach to outreach by creating call lists by industry, role ext. High Activity is required in order to hit these targets.       
  • Book 20 appointments a month with IT executives leveraging a variety of communication channels including LinkedIn, phone and email.  
  • Prospect using LinkedIn and web searches in order to identify leads; input contact information into CRM System 
  • Utilize CRM System (Salesforce) and closely manage the sales workflow, including uploading new contacts, logging appointments, monitoring progress and ensuring completion.        
  • Use product/service expertise alongside client knowledge to prepare impactful sales pitches and proposals. 

This role is part of a larger development program that will involve planned progression into a higher level ACD position which includes assignment of territories & a larger role in the management of the sales cycle. Progression is dependent on successful completion of the development program.
