Senior Consulting Analyst

Position Summary  

Are you an HR professional with an interest in employee engagement and analytics? Do you enjoy working directly with clients to understand their needs and apply best practice research and your own experience to advise them on how to improve? If so, the Senior Consulting Analyst may be for you!

The Senior Consulting Analyst works in McLean & Company’s Organizational Effectiveness practice. The Organizational Effectiveness team administers our suite of HR diagnostics to our members. The diagnostics include Employee Engagement surveys, New Hire surveys, Exit surveys, the HR Stakeholder Management survey, the HR Management & Governance survey, and a 360-degree feedback tool.

The Senior Consulting Analyst works directly with our members to debrief the results of our HR diagnostics, analyze trends, provide meaningful insights, and advise clients on how to take action on survey results to bring about significant organizational change and help improve the employee experience.

  

Major Responsibilities

  •  Survey Delivery: Works in partnership with a Project Coordinator to scope the client’s survey, including understanding their needs and goals, explaining our products and services, designing a survey implementation plan that meets their needs, in order to set the client up for a successful survey. Identifies challenges and proposes solutions during the survey planning, launch, and report delivery phases.

  

  •  Results Debriefs and Action Planning: Debriefs clients, including HR leadership and executive leadership, on survey results via the phone or in person, including explaining the reports, identifying trends in the data, and making meaning from these trends. Recommends priorities from survey data for action planning. Guides client through best practices in implementing communication and action plans.

  

  •  Client Management: Partners with the client’s Account Director to understand the client’s history and expectations. Identifies the client’s needs and communicates how our surveys will help them achieve their goals. Suggests improvements to diagnostic supporting materials (templates, guides, research, etc.) based on client needs. Manages client expectations to ensure projects are completed successfully.

  

  •  Research: Participates in the development of McLean & Company’s research by sharing client experiences and needs, identifying industry trends, and reviewing research content. Keeps up-to-date on current research in engagement to share with clients.

  

  •  Workshops/Consulting: Participates (facilitates, presents, supports team members) in the delivery of onsite or virtual client workshops and consulting activities such as focus groups and manager training. Identifies new workshop/consulting opportunities based on client needs.

 

  •  Sales: Supports the sales teams by presenting McLean & Company’s survey offerings to prospective clients and current members over the telephone or in person.

  

Education and Experience 

Required

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 2+ years of experience or exposure to HR
  • Public speaking, facilitation
  •  Experience in the facilitation of workshop or training sessions
  •  Strong track record of academic achievement

Desirable

  •  A specialized degree or diploma in Business, Psychology or Human Resources
  • CHRP/CHRL designation
  • Experience as an HR Generalist
  • Experience with employee engagement surveys and/or research
  • Experience with HR metrics

Skills 

  • Client Advisory: Demonstrates agility to go where the client wants to go.  Builds rapport.  Applies academic/work experience, knowledge, and McLean & Company research to a client's issue or question to provide meaningful insight to the client.  Balances professionalism and friendliness. 
  • Analytical: identifies trends in data and links it to the employee experience.
  • Organization and Attention to Detail: Manages the implementation of multiple complex projects at one time. Effectively prioritizes. 
  • Verbal and Written Communication: Effective in communicating how we can meet clients' needs, and managing client expectations. Communicates frequently over the phone with clients.  Required to explain results and complex concepts in a clear, concise manner. 
  • Presentation and Facilitation: presents survey results to senior leadership teams and employee groups and facilitates focus groups at client site.

Additional Comments 

  • Willingness and ability to travel (~10-15%).
  • Must be eligible to obtain a TN1 Visa.
