Director of Direct Marketing - Growth

The Director of Direct Marketing – Growth will establish an integrated growth strategy that will drive engagement and upselling at key points in the client lifecycle. The role will analyze and establish member behaviour and usage patterns and develop offers and introduce products and services to add value to the membership experience.

The Director of Direct Marketing – Growth will collaborate with supporting teams (creative, development, research) in order to develop innovative revenue generating programs. The role will continuously monitor the performance of these programs and make continuous improvements to ensure delivery of valuable client experiences and revenue growth.

Role Scope / Responsibilities:

  • Establish strategies to drive client and revenue growth, based on insights extracted from member data,
  • Identify and establish client lifecycle, behaviour and usage patterns, uncovering opportunities to deliver additional value to members
  • Develop cross sell and upsell programs to deliver additional client value
  • Identify an optimal contact strategy for core lifecycle activities
  • Continuously identify opportunities to deliver new offers/experiences to clients and develop programs, including time limited offers/promotions
  • Build and execute growth campaigns
  • Optimize and evolve the client referral program and build in a reference program for use in competitive sales environments, marketing and social
  • Develop integrated campaigns that creatively leverage web, paid media and email

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field.
  • 7-10 years’ proven work experience in building growth strategies in a B2B subscription service environment
  • Experience developing and executing cross sell and upsell campaigns in B2B environments
  • Proven integrated marketing program development and execution
  • Experience in conversion rate optimization
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Ability to uncover a story from large volumes of data and disparate data sources
  • Experienced in stakeholder management.
  • Experience working with agencies/vendors
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com and integration with leading marketing automation tools highly preferred.
  • Experience marketing to senior IT execs considered an asset.
