Position Summary:

The business development manager will support the consulting lead generation and sales efforts by being the interface between consulting and the rest of the organization (specifically sales). This role will manage the sales process for consulting engagements and develop the sales funnel to ensure continuous deal flow throughout the year.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Be the relationship manager between sales and consulting teams to align strategies and enhance communications
  • Manage the various sales channels and processes (existing relationships, key accounts, sales reps, RFP, etc.) to identify opportunities for improvements and ensure proper sales and funnel management practises are being followed across the entire sales cycles
  • Create and execute sales and service activity plans to ensure improvements in personal and consulting sales; meeting all monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year revenue targets
  • Conduct internal information sessions to increase company awareness of high-level approach for key consulting topics, consulting lifecycle, consulting teams, specialization, and opportunities
  • Gain deep understanding of core consulting topics and approaches across all consulting practices.
  • Be able to confidently discuss typical client issues, solutions, and bundling possibilities to generate leads
  • Participate in sales calls and meetings
  • Monitor, manage, and report on sales metrics and funnel on a regular basis

  • Goal setting: Sets goals that demonstrates a commitment to professional development; takes ownership of own performance; manage goal attainment; able to set reasonable goals; monitor progress and communicate/ask for help when off pace for goal attainment


  • University/college graduate (required).
  • Strong and demonstrated leadership skills and excellent people management skills.
  • Commitment to customer focus and service excellence.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time in the face of competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Excellent negotiation, sales and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under pressure and adapt to changing business requirements.
