Summary

The Manager, Consulting leads and delivers small-to-mid sized client engagements within Info-Techís Consulting practice for a variety of IT strategy and business improvement services around Enterprise Applications. This position also assists in growing the organization by developing new consulting business, building compelling offers, responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and helping to develop junior team members. The Manager, Consulting will also contribute to the continuous improvement of Info-Techís research content by lending his/her expertise where needed. The Consulting Manager will have a good understanding of how to select and implement Enterprise Applications, including ERP, CRM, HRMS, and BPM, as well as the main product vendors in the market.

Major Responsibilities  

  • Manage consulting projects or project work-streams and maintain project tracking, hours, costs, and other variables against budget.
  • Lead client meetings and workshops within the scope of IT consulting projects, in the enterprise application space, by preparing and presenting deliverables and reports.
  • Support business development activities by participating in proposal writing, project scoping, and presentation of consulting solutions to clients.  
  • Create compelling consulting deliverables in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word to summarize the results of analyses and demonstrate solutions and strategies for our clients.
  • Provide guidance and advice in the Enterprise Applications space to Info-Techís Research members, whether on site or through teleconferences.
  • Support the IT research team with insights gathered from client engagements; encourage and partake in cross collaboration with research teams.
  • Take part in data-driven diagnostic engagements with Info-Tech research members, adapting survey questionnaires and analyzing results.
  • Grow Info-Techís consulting knowledge base by properly classifying and archiving client proposals and deliverables.
  • Contribute to resource development by transferring skills and knowledge to Info-Tech Research Groupís consultants and research analysts.
  • Work closely with Vice-President and Consulting Directors on strategic planning and go-to-market activities.
  • Coordinate engagements with external third party contractors.

Education and Experience   

  •  University degree in Business, IT, or a related discipline
  •  Acquired experience and knowledge of the solution landscape of one or more of the following Enterprise Applications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a business advisory capacity, ideally delivering or leading management or IT consulting projects.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the creation of project proposals, RFP responses, and Statements of Work.
  • Demonstrated client interaction experience in a consulting delivery and/or sales capacity.

  • Consulting certification, or certifications in IT or project management related topics e.g. CMC, PMP, COBIT 5, are considered beneficial.
  • This role will involve travel to the US, and therefore, TN Visa Eligibility is a requirement as is the  willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Client Interaction and Facilitation: Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients over the phone and through      facilitated in-person sessions.
  • Project Management: Manage project scope, budget effectively, and report on project progress within a timely manner.  Ability to lead negotiations while managing scope and client expectations.
  • Written  Skills: Ability to craft and word deliverables in a clear and concise manner, achieving an aesthetically appealing outcome that is polished and professional.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to present and influence client stakeholders through the presentation of Info-Tech proposals and deliverables.
  • Business Development: Generate advisory sales leads from interactions with clients, whether during analyst calls or during project work, and proposing Info-Tech Research Groupís services to fulfill Memberís needs.
  • Adaptability:  Ability to work within in a dynamic and changing environment. Mentors and leads others through those changes.
