New Business Development Rep

At Info-Tech we are looking for top talent to join our rapidly growing organization as we help connect IT leaders with data-driven IT solutions from our lively downtown offices in Toronto and London. As a Commercial Partner you will be aligned with a seasoned Sales professional. 

Your focus will be supporting this salesperson in developing new business through prospecting inbound leads, cold calling and scheduling presentations with prospective customers. Through this close working relationship, in conjunction with our own internal development program, you will have the opportunity to move up into sales roles with successful progression.

You’ll be a good fit if you have;

  • A University/College graduate (required)
  • 1 year experience in a customer service or customer facing role.
  • Intellectual agility and curiosity: Willingness to continually learn about the product and customer and use that knowledge adeptly in demonstrating and articulating ITRG's value proposition.
  • Excellent communication and selling skills: Ability to communicate internally and externally with senior executives in a clear, compelling and concise manner.
  • Active listening skills: Ability to listen and respond to a customer in a manner that improves mutual understanding.
  • Organizational/time management skills: Ability and discipline to effectively manage a series of diverse and complex call-booking and tracking activities with on-going re-prioritization and focus.
  • Persistence and resilience: Demonstrates consistent tenacity in managing the appointment booking process and successfully overcomes setbacks and disappointments; uses creativity and innovation to address challenges and obstacles with a solutions-oriented focus.
  • Business acumen: Uses knowledge of the business environment and IT to engage customers.
  • Self-awareness: Self-motivated with an awareness and understanding of one’s strengths and areas of development.

More about the role;

  • The Commercial Partner is a development role. While booking meetings is the first priority, the role is heavily structured to involve the Commercial Partner in the full sales cycle associated with the meetings they book.
  • The role is a fast track for high-potential junior sales professionals to learn directly from working onside a high performing Commercial Director.
  • By progressing through 3 stages of development (first 30 meetings, second 30 meetings, third 30 meetings) the Commercial Partner will find themselves taking on more responsibility in the sales cycle of their bookings and will have support from their Managing Director or VP on the calls they will eventually run independently.
  • Success in this role will lead to increased responsibility and the opportunity to manage a sales territory independently.
