Practice Lead (Senior Director) Research - Enterprise Applications

Due to continued growth of our Research and Advisory services, we are hiring for a Senior Director, Research for the Enterprise Applications group within our Applications Research practice.   

The Senior Director, Research is responsible for delivering measurable value to our advisory services to members by working with them on-site and remotely to help improve their strategy, processes and people. The Senior Director, Research also drives the research agenda, content development and analysis, and growth of the advisory services provided to our members. The role also is accountable for growing the capabilities and development of analysts within the practice.   

Must be willing and able to travel (25-50%) to deliver onsite workshops within North  America. Must be eligible to obtain TN Visa for work with US clients. Must be available for after-hours call booking twice per month for two hours each time. 

Major Responsibilities 

  • Utilize our Research blueprints to assist clients in executing projects or process improvements either remotely or through on-site workshops.
  • Identify opportunities to provide workshops and consulting engagements by partnering with commercial teams to define scope and project outcomes.
  • Identify further areas of assistance required for clients after initial Experience calls and book appropriate subsequent experiences.
  • Lead the development of our research blueprints and agenda as the key subject matter expert.
  • Contribute to a research agenda that meets the needs of members by developing a deep understanding of what Info-Tech members require to be successful
  • Work jointly with our marketing team and account management team to reengage customers with low service levels through targeted campaigns and outreach.
  • Help drive the commercial success of the practice working with consulting and project management teams. 

Education and Experience 

  • Undergraduate degree required, business or technology preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience leading the selection, implementation, and optimization of enterprise level software packages (ERP, CRM, HRIS/HRMS). 
  • Experience working in an advisory role within a professional services or big box vendor would be ideal
  • Experience gaining and maintaining trusted advisor status with senior management and C-level executives.               
  • Familiar with variety of ERP vendors and best practices.            
  • Experience facilitating client facing workshops, training sessions, and consulting engagements.
  • Experience mentoring, developing, and training staff.  

Skills 

  • Strong client advisory & service delivery skills; the ability to lead clients through complex projects, build relationships and establish reputation as a trusted advisor, and lead clients through structured working sessions.
  • Expert ability to analyze data and experience, in a way that enables the uncovering of new insights and frame problems in a new or unique way.
  • Opportunity Identification; Strong ability to identify opportunities where value can be added and work with members to define project outcomes.
  • Subject matter expert in enterprise level software management.
  • Advanced business process improvement skills.
