We produce unbiased and highly relevant research to help CIOs and IT leaders make strategic, timely, and well-informed decisions. We partner closely with IT teams to provide everything they need, from actionable tools to analyst guidance, ensuring they deliver measurable results for their organizations

Due to continued growth within our Research -CIO practice, we are expanding our Team of talented Professionals. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in: 

  • Utilizing practical experience and knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines: IT Strategy, Budget Management, Governance, Risk & Compliance, Business Relationship Management, Stakeholder Management, Performance Measurement/Metrics & Reporting  
  • Driving and delivering value through world-class research, supporting and engaging a dedicated set of members via advisory calls, client-site workshops, and facilitating week-long leadership training programs. 
  • Being active & engaged in the growth and development of colleagues within the practice  
  • Providing valuable insight to the research agenda and growth of the advisory and consulting services provided to our members.

Areas of focus for this role includes: 

Research.   As a subject matter expert, write and publish research designed to provide our members with what they need to be   successful IT professionals. 

Utilization. Leverage   our research to assist members through the process of executing projects or process improvements either remotely (working through a series of structured   calls) or onsite (working through structured 5-day workshops or custom consulting engagements). 

Service Quality. Provide measurable value to our clients through the various services provided: research, calls, workshops, and consulting. 

Account Renewal Rate. Work jointly with your team and the account managers to reengage customers with low service   levels through targeted campaigns and outreach.  

Commercial Results. Identify opportunities to provide value to clients through workshops and consulting engagements and work with our commercial   teams to define the scope and project outcomes.

 

 Education and Experience: 

  • Undergraduate degree required (business or technology preferred) or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience providing client advisory and/or consulting engagement within the areas of:  IT Strategy, Budget Management, Governance, Risk & Compliance, Business Relationship Management, Stakeholder Management, Performance Measurement/Metrics & Reporting.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and facilitation experience: client-facing workshops, training sessions, and consulting engagements. 
  • Strong relationship building and management skills. Experience gaining and maintaining trusted advisor status with senior management and C-level executives.      
  • Certifications in an IT or project management related topic e.g. PMP, COBIT 5, ITIL an asset. 

 

Required Skills

  • Expert understanding of the key management processes within an IT department  
  • Strong   client advisory and service delivery skills; the ability to lead clients   through complex projects, build relationships and establish reputation as a   trusted advisor, and lead clients through structured working sessions. 
  • Prior experience in applying primary and secondary research, along with superior analytical and written communication skills, to lead the team in producing high-quality, published research for our members. 
  • Must be flexible and have ability to travel (25-50%) to deliver workshops onsite at client locations both within and outside of North   America. Must be eligible to obtain TN Visa for work with US clients. Must be available for after-hours call booking twice per month for two hours each time.
