Director, Research - Enterprise Applications

Are you a experienced IT Professional who is passionate about knowledge sharing, learning and writing on new trends within IT industry? Are you an SME within your respective IT niche or interested in becoming one? Due to continued growth within our Research - Applications practice, we are expanding our team of talented Professionals and are looking for a Director, Research for our Enterprise Applications practice.

Summary 

The Director, Research delivers advisory services to a variety of Info-Tech Research Group research members (clients) with the goal of providing measurable value by improving strategy, processes and organization around Enterprise Applications. The Manager, Research develops methodology research content, and helps grow the scope of advisory services that we provide to our research members.

 Major Responsibilities   

  • Contribute to Info-Techís Research Agenda planning activities by identifying trends in Enterprise Applications, Application Requirements Gathering, Application Selection and Implementation, and Application Operations and Rationalization, proposing research topics, and developing Research outlines and scoping documents. 
  • Develop research content centered around best practice methodologies, practical case studies, and industry research. 
  • Provide guidance and advice in the Enterprise Applications space, including customer-centric Digital Transformation, to members over the phone. 
  • Deliver value to Info-Techís IT Research and Advisory members, by utilizing our research and working with members on-site, supporting the delivery of structured 1-week workshops designed to help improve their strategies, processes and organization around Enterprise Applications. 
  • Take part in data-driven diagnostic engagements with Info-Tech Research Groupís Members, adapting survey questionnaires, and analyzing results. 
  • Support business development activities for Consulting and Advisory services by participating in proposal writing, project scoping, and presentation of services to clients. 
  • Develop keynote presentations that will be delivered in client events organized by Info-Tech Research Group. 
  • Contribute to resource development by transferring skills and knowledge to Info-Tech Research Groupís consultants and research analysts. 

 

Education and Experience  

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, IT, or a related discipline 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business advisory within Enterprise Applications. 
  • Acquired experience and knowledge of the solution landscape of the following Enterprise Applications:  
    • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) 
    • Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) 
    • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) 
    • Customer Experience Management 
    • Product Lifecycle Management 
  • Certifications in an IT or project management related topic e.g. PMP, COBIT 5, ITIL, are considered beneficial. 
  • This role will involve travel to the US, and therefore, TN Visa Eligibility is a requirement as is the willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time. 
  • Must be available for after-hours client call taking twice a month for two hours each time.

  Skills 

  • Client Interaction and Facilitation: Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients over the phone and through facilitated in-person sessions. 
  • Project Management: Manage project scope, budget effectively, and report on project progress within a timely manner.  Ability to lead negotiations while managing scope and client expectations. 
  • Written Skills: Ability to craft and word deliverables in a clear and concise manner. Achieve an aesthetically appealing outcome that is polished and professional.  
  • Business Development: Generate advisory sales leads from interactions with clients, whether during analyst calls or during project work, and proposing Info-Tech Research Groupís services to fulfill Memberís needs. 
  • Adaptability: Ability to work within in a dynamic and changing environment.  Mentors and leads others through those changes.
