ITRG Executive Counselors are an exclusive group of business executives who help to guide, mentor, advise and provide research content with CIOís and senior executives members. Their coaching assists executives and business leaders in delivering improved results by optimizing decision making, mitigating risk and addressing the weekly struggles and complex challenges they face on the path to personal and professional excellence.  

Requirements we are looking for: 

  • A former or transitioning CIO/ Senior IT Management with IT budget and/or P&L responsibility. College graduate with a 5+ years experience working as a CIO. Would consider a deputy CIO / senior management role in an IT capacity with 5+ years in this capacity with 5+ years in other IT area (i.e. Consulting, IT Supplier, etc.)
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with fearless leadership skills
  • Experienced in leading a high-performing team
  • Assessing ambiguous situations and solving client issues by providing outcome based options with appropriate ITRG support to achieve desired results
  • Part of a well-established business network within your professional community
  • In depth understanding of the IT industry and the CIO role while possessing the ability to listen, probe, and challenge senior executives
  • Understanding the business value of IT and partnerships with Business and IT strategies
  • Strong relationship builder with wide networks
  • Demonstrable sales and/or business development experience with CXO level executives
  • Strong independent self-starter who takes initiative in managing their day to day
  • Easily builds rapport and relationships with tenured senior executives while creating trust with CXO executives
  • Technically sufficient and work with minimal direction
  • Strong verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel 

 Overview of Positionís Duties:

  • Counselors  are accountable for memberís satisfaction and renewal of business.
  • Leverage  ITRG Research and Consulting to create solutions for Counselor members utilizing all ITRG and McLean offerings.
  • Facilitate on-site meetings and research briefings at client location.  Counselors can be located anywhere in the US to accommodate the needs of their client members.
  • Deliver ITRG research content to members.
  • Facilitate and participate in client facing events.
  • By utilizing their subject matter expertise, develops synthesized answers to members in response to inquiries.
  • Abilities to close business with existing and prospective clients in North America to ensure proper communications on expectations of the Counselor Services.  Participating in regular communication / support / education and participation with Sales Leadership and Account Directors to drive sales and support efforts.
  • Contribute to continuing development of Counselor Services and ITRG Research through member interactions.
