Manager, Research - Tribal Government, Gaming & Hospitality

Location: Las Vegas, NV - Home Based 

The Manager, Research generates insights and provides expertise during the development of our research content by supporting and engaging members via remote phone support and client-site workshops; contributing to the practice agenda by researching, writing, and delivering Tribal Government and Gaming & Hospitality best practices to help clients complete projects and improving processes within their organization.

Research is produced through the;

  • effective development of project outlines 
  • gathering and collating of relevant primary and secondary information 
  • collaboration with team members, to develop innovative approaches to solving the research problem
  • production and delivery of written content 
  • design of effective tools and templates to be used in conjunction with written content

Key Activities

  • Leverage research and personal expertise to assist members through the process of executing projects or process improvements 
  • Deliver work either remotely through over the phone guided implementations or through onsite structured, 5-day workshops or custom consulting engagements
  • Document/share key insights, coordinate subsequent analyst experiences and develop relationships with clients 
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to identify, develop and improve internal processes, procedures or practice


  • Undergraduate degree required (business or technology preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years’ professional experience working in a Tribal Government &/or Gaming & Hospitality or IT role is a must 
  • Exceptional presentation skills and facilitation experience; ideally with proven experience supporting or delivering in a workshop setting or equivalent 
  • Experience mentoring, developing, and training staff would be an asset 
  • Strategic foresight and ability to identify and understand new approaches, technologies and demand and how they impact organization


  • Comprehensive understanding of IT & Business matters within a Tribal Government or Gaming & Hospitality environment.
  • Critical Thinking/Research/Analysis skills 
  • Structured Thinking:Able to break down large topics/projects into manageable, logical steps and outputs. Using research and analysis to structure a blueprint and create deliverables.
  • Writing: Able to write from a business perspective, clear, concise, client focused written communication. Develop written research content.
  • Intellectual curiosity: investigate new topics or concepts or find new perspectives beyond common wisdom on well-understood topics.
  • Client Facing/Facilitation skills including rapport building, active listening, articulation of points and workshop skills
