Our research helps drive engagement and productivity within our Members' organizations. Info-Tech's Team Leadership & Management Research Center, partnered with McLean & Company, provides the tools and advice our Member's utilize to handle the unique challenges of managing people within IT operations. Due to continued growth within our Research – People & Leadership practice, we are expanding our team of talented professionals. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in: 

  •  Utilizing practical experience and knowledge in People and Leadership, specifically within IT Organization Design.
  • Driving and delivering value through world-class research, supporting and engaging a dedicated set of members via remote phone support, client-site workshops, and facilitating week-long leadership training programs.

  • Providing valuable insight to the research agenda and growth of the advisory and consulting services provided to our members.

Areas of focus for this role includes:

  •  Research.  As a subject matter expert, write and publish research designed to provide our members with what they need to be   successful IT professionals.
  • Utilization. Leverage  our research to assist members through the process of executing projects or process improvements either remotely (working through a series of structured   calls) or onsite (working through structured 5-day workshops or custom consulting engagements).

  • Service Quality. Provide measurable value to our clients through the various services provided: research, calls, workshops, and consulting.

  • Account Renewal Rate. Work jointly with your team and the account managers to reengage customers with low service levels through targeted campaigns and outreach.  

  • Commercial Results. Identify opportunities to provide value to clients through workshops and consulting engagements and work with our commercial teams to define the scope and project outcomes.  


Education and Experience

  •  Undergraduate degree required (business or technology preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • International Coach Federation coaching certification (or comparable) an asset

  • Exceptional presentation skills and facilitation experience: client-facing workshops, training sessions, and consulting engagements.

  • Strong  relationship building and management skills. Experience gaining and maintaining trusted advisor status with senior management and C-level executives.             

  • Experience mentoring, developing, and training staff.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a learning and development role.

  • Familiar with adult learning principles.


Required Skills

  •  Must be flexible and have ability to travel (25-50%) to deliver workshops onsite at client locations both within and outside of North America. Must be eligible to obtain TN Visa for work with US clients. Must be available for after-hours call booking twice per month for two hours each time to service APAC clients.
  • Expert understanding of HR matters within an IT environment.

  • Familiarity with and applicability of leadership within an IT environment.

  • Strong client advisory and service delivery skills; the ability to lead clients through complex projects, build relationships and establish reputation as a trusted advisor, and lead clients through structured working sessions.

  • Apply primary and secondary research, along with superior analytical and written communication skills, to lead the team in producing high-quality, published research for our members.

  • Strong ability to identify opportunities where value can be added and work with members to define project outcomes.

  • Intellectual curiosity: investigate new topics or concepts, or find new perspectives
