We are looking to add 2 Director's, Research to our Security practice in Toronto, ON due to continued practice growth. The Director, Research takes ownership of and delivers advisory services to members specifically in the areas of Security by working with clients on-site and remotely, to help improve Security strategy, processes and people. Additionally, the Director generates insight and provides expertise during the development of our research content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage existing client accounts and personally developed networks to effectively identify advisory opportunities for the security practice whilst managing and maintaining an effective sales pipeline.
  • Research and analyse the security industry to identity areas of opportunity and upcoming issues; to keep up to date critical thought process around identity Industry and how to grow the business.
  • Build strategically effective solutions that drive measured value by (a) establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision makers and influencers, and (b) understanding their needs.
  • Manage, coach and lead research staff in their areas of expertise
  • Support the development and implementation of a set of services related to the security industry.
  • Contribute to the ongoing research mandate and thought leadership by providing insights and subject matter expertise on analyst research projects and client advisory calls
  • Participate in the drafting of proposals and statement of works (SOWs) for a variety of potential and existing customers ensuring adherence to internal processes.
  • Drive continuous opportunity development by building and maintaining effective internal relationships with the Commercial Sales organization


  • University degree, ideally in Business or Technology
  • Certifications in CISSP or CISA, an asset


  • Minimum 6 years’ experience designing and supporting security based solutions; administrating and/or engineering Identity Life cycle Management and Technologies
  • Proven experience gathering requirements, analyzing needs and providing technical solutions to meet client needs

Skills and Competencies

  • Domain Expertise; Must have a strong knowledge of Security technologies
  • Client Advisory and Service Delivery: Ability to lead clients through complex projects by providing guidance, critical analysis, and support; demonstrated experience building client relationships and establishing the role of a trusted advisor; ability to lead clients through structured working sessions to facilitate inclusive discussions.
  • Insight Generation: Demonstrated experience building client relationships and establishing the role of a trusted advisor; ability to frame problems or solutions in a new or unique way that resonates with our member base.
  • Management/Leadership: Proven ability to motivate, coach, empower, and manage a team to deliver organizational goals, while delivering value back to employees
